I have a brand new intel core-duo Macbook Pro with Daylite, and have been having trouble with Daylite performance after importing contacts. (2.3GHz, 1G RAM)

We've been running some postcard advertising, and I imported ~20K contacts so that I could track how many of them contacted us as a result of the postcards. The only problem is the program has now slowed to a crawl: 5 minute waits for searches, 30 second waits to do anything at all. The result is the program is too slow to use.

The disk space taken up by the excel file we have with the 20K contact info is tiny, and 20,000 records should be a piece of cake for mysql and other databases we use-- what's up with Daylite?
