We've confirmed that this indeed doesn't work quite right, and have updated Daylite to fix the issue; please re-download and re-install Daylite. Make sure the build number is 1611 (or above) as shown in the About window.
Please visit the Maintenance pane to confirm your settings and backups should work properly afterwards.
