I am using Daylite3.0 to track my customers' order and quotation. The question is that I change the price of products all the time and how can I keep the record so that I won't forget previous quotation. I am using opportunity-estimate right now. However, it works only in single quotation. Anyone who knows the solution?

Everytime you 'Send an Estimate' it will generate and store a copy of this estimate in Daylite. (ie. look in the Activity Tab for that opportunity and you will see an entry for the Estimate which you 'sent'/created).

You can now modify the estimate however you please and send out another estimate. You will now notice 2 estimate entries listed in the Activity Tab.

To view either of these estimates, double click on the estimate entry in the Activity Tab.

Thanks for your reply! Eric,
The sending estimate dose work very well! However, I found that I couldn't add Terms to estimate pdf sent to customer. As I sent or exported estimate, it only showed item and price but no terms. Do you know how to show terms on the PDF file(estimate)?

It seems that the estimates packaged with Daylite do not display the terms. If you are using a template you created yourself or know how to modify the ones provided with Daylite, you can add a dynamic text area to the estimate template and within the dynamic text area add the key,
Report->Object->Terms->Attributed String
(which resolves to the key path...
parent.parent.parent.parent.reportData.object.terms.attributedStringRepresentation)

Please note, that in the current version of Daylite, the terms will not be displayed in the preview of the estimate but will appear when the estimate is 'actually' created.

I'll pass on the word to add the terms to the packaged templates.

Eric,

When generating a copy of the estimate in Daylite (Activity Tap), is it any way to delete the estimate copy that I don't want? I have a difficulty to delete the error estimate.

Currently you can't delete estimates in Daylite 3. This is a bug and will be fixed in the next release.

Hi Eric,

I'm trying to do the same as Andy. I've created a dynamic text area and added the key:
Report->Object->Terms->Attributed String

However, nothing show up. Even if I create the Estimate.

Any suggestions? Ideas?
Thanks for your help.
