We have just added another employee, and need to purchase another copy of Daylite for her computer. Can someone point to where I can find instructions on how to properly set up a new user so that they are tied in with the main Daylite database.
thank you, Scott Mac Pro 2.66Ghz, Leopard 10.5.x, New to Daylite as of Dec 07. |

Glad you are finding Daylite helpful for your business. You should be able to walk through this with the built-in Help. From Daylite, go to the Help menu and choose Daylite Help. Go to the Index and click on the "adding a new user" link. *And be sure to add this new license to ALL computers running Daylite. You can get this info from the "licenses" link in the same Help Index. Hope that helps! holy MOLY. We spent over 5 hours today, trying to figure out why all 3 Macs weren't able to log in at the same time with their copy of DL. Restarting, fixing Openbase permissions, reinstalling all 3 copies, etc.
Your one line, Theodore: "And be sure to this license to ALL computers..." saved the day. I thought we were going to trash DL and do without after today. Thank you VERY much for writing in your suggestion. It's 11:55PM and I can honestly say that you saved my sanity. Thank you, thank you. If you ever want some Brain Toniq (http://www.braintoniq.com ), gratis, let me know. And if you ever write a thorough how-to manual on Daylite, I'll pay you a lot of money for it. It's sorely needed.
