I have recenlty switched to Daylight with MAC from ACT and have a few questions.
1. ACT had a simple way of doing a lookup of any field. Does Daylight have this? I really want to be able to do a lookup of the Extra fields. This is where I keep my clients account numbers and many times I need to lookup by acct number.

Or you could display the extra field in the column view and you can then simply click on the header to sort the list by client account numbers.

Yes, I have done that. But then I have to go back to resort the list the way I had it. There were so many things that ACT did so simply. You simply clicked on lookup, and any imaginable way to lookup was listed. I guess I will get the hang of this with time. I really wish there had been an ACT for Mac. I gave up windows because I hated all the errors, glitches, and shut downs. But I do miss the simplicity of ACT.
THanks

Hmm.
As an ex ACT! and Maximiser user I must say I am so glad I came across Daylite.

I liked it so much, I became a partner.
As a partner I have now converted a lot of my clients to Daylite from both of the above applications and they have always been very pleased with the results.

Try creating smart lists in ACT.
Also ACT does not use the concept of having separate records for organisations and contacts which I think is much better.
One of the great things about Daylite is that it is being actively developed all the time.
Marketcircle, the developer are hungry for success and to make it great product.
Since ACT was acquired by Sage a few years ago I am not sure the same can be said of it.

I hope that you can get used Daylite and am sure you will see the benefit if you keep going.

Best regards

Bill

Ultrastryk

I used ACT for over 10 years. I completely understand. However, after a while Daylite gets easier.
