Hi - I'd firstly like to introduce myself as I'm new to Daylite and this forum. I'm just evaluating Daylite currently, and I'd be really interested to hear from any other commercial photographers working in the design/advertising fields who are using Daylite. It might be more appropriate to ask this in the industry specific forum, so I'll post it there too.

However, my question is regarding duplicate contact records. I initially had difficulty bringing records across from Address Book using 'Syncronize. Records marked as 'Companies' in Address Book come across to 'Organizations' in Daylite as I'd expect, but the individual contacts within records marked as 'companies' did not, so I then did a vCard export of all the contacts in the Daylite group in my Address Book which worked fine, but I ended up with some contacts duplicated in Daylite. In order to delete the duplicates I tried the Locate Duplicates command, but this seems to be a very tedious way to delete duplicate contacts as one can't simply highlight one of the found duplicates and delete it, one has to highlight both duplicates, click the combine selected duplicates button, choose combine (or swap) from the drop down menu, and then click the find button to find the next duplicate and go through the same procedure for each and every duplicate!

SURELY there must be an easier way?

Thank you for taking the time to post your question.

If you have duplications (and the information is exactly the same), you have the ability to delete records by highlighting them and pressing the delete key.

An easier method may be to start fresh if you have a backup you can resort back to. If you do, please let me know and I can send you some information on importing your data.
