Direct Mail is one of my favorite applications I use with Daylite.

I wish there was a way to record the email into Daylite that was sent.

Any work arounds or thoughts on this?

You select the list of contacts in daylite when you export to Direct Mail.
Simply create a note that is linked to those that are selected.

I do a slightly different method. I create a task that was completed mark it as an email. And set it to the category of promotion so I can see the promotion efforts to my list.
