We are seriously evaluating moving to Kerio mailserver. In doing my research it seems to be the only mailserver that integrates with Caldav and is a pretty robust solution. I'm wondering if Marketcircle has anything in the works to either sync with Caldav or have a connector to Kerio?

Ideally I would like to have iPhones for my employees and have their calendars & contacts sync automatically as well as accept appointments. Will Daylite have that exchange-like functionality?

I would wait until the actual 2.0 iPhone release before making a decision.

I have 2-4 clients who are very interested in this functionality.

Will we have some manner of CalDAV integration soon?

So, the iphone 2.0 announcement came and went:

It looks like there'll be plenty of Exchange support and Active Sync integration, but where does this leave Daylite? It does look like Kerio would work with the Iphone since it supports Active Sync. So, how about that Caldav integration?

By the way, we went ahead and purchased Kerio anyhow and are quite happy with it. It's a very robust solution for small businesses that host their own email.

If anyone has any specific questions regarding Kerio or is interested in our hosting product rather that purchasing Kerio and maintaining their own server, please let me know. I do not have a lot of experience with Daylite, but am willing to work with anyone interested to learn if/how it can integrate with Kerio. Thanks!

Kerio just announced Iphone support with Exchange-like integration. Of course now we're looking at how to sync all our data from Daylite to iCal/Kerio mailserver. Are there any plans to have Daylite sync with Caldav on the server? Or will DL sync always have to sync via each user?

Currently each user will have to sync with sync services to accomplish this. Caldav is not something we are currently looking to do.

Daylite Touch is going to give you what you are looking for in terms of syncing calendars and contacts with your phone wirelessly. What you won't get with Exchange/Kerio that you will get with Daylite Touch are projects, opportunities and tasks. And these can all be linked together, just like on Daylite. You can see appointments linked to projects for example.

hi Michael,

of course this sounds all great and I'm anxiously awaiting the release of Daylite Touch. As discussed in another thread however it won't be available for some time now.
There is a growing need to get access to the calendar & contact data away from a computer/desktop, be it on an iphone, blackberry etc.

The trouble with locking yourself to the iphone and not making the data available to an exchange environment is that you're locked into using just AT&T (here in the US), which is by all accounts a dismal service.
