Daylite Delivery is as critical a component as DMI in the Marketcircle workflow, and we would like to share our knowledge of the product with you. The purpose of this thread is to clarify Delivery's usefulness and in the end aim to improve everyone's productivity.
For anyone not familiar with Delivery, it's purpose is to share and schedule PDF reports for automatic delivery to your inbox. Since the reports are delivered via email, you'll receive them wherever you are. This means you can receive the information that means the most to you, almost anywhere. With the 3G iPhone the accessibility has gotten even better. You can view and share these reports on your iPhone (or other smart phone that can view PDF's), no matter where you are (as long as you have access to your email, over Wi-Fi, edge, or 3G). There is no need to worry about being in front of the computer, schedule it once on the server and forget about it. We'd like to hear from current Daylite Delivery users, in as many industries as possible. We'll be sharing our own internal experiences with Delivery, and hope to add our knowledge of it's use with our user community to create an informative page on our website, to help new and existing users truly "get the most" out of Daylite. ---------------- rcash [at] marketcircle.com (888) 287-9186 x.227 |

Marketcircle Team |
My name is Amin Rahmani and I'm responsible for the sales team here at Marketcircle. I'd like to throw in my 2 cents as we are using Delivery more and more internally.
When I started working for Marketcircle 4 years ago I was handling all inbound sales myself and now I manage the whole team. It's important for me to know what's going on each day. Here's a breakdown of how we use Delivery: 1. Daily Stats Part 1 - In the information age it is easy to get sidetracked. We all have our roles and I need to know if my sales people are spending their time wisely. For that reason we enter every phone call and email into Daylite. Phone calls are timed using the task timer. Part 2 - In addition to time management, we need to know where our leads are coming from or, in other words, how customers are finding us. Is it through a particular website? Word of mouth? etc. These stats are captured in a custom form which I created in Daylite. --> Then, each night, the daily stats are automatically delivered via email to the CEO, VP, and Administrative staff who tracks this info without any involvement from me. I just make sure that the data is being collected each day. 2. Monthly Sales Commissions We track each and every sale a sales person is responsible for in Daylite. That way we can call up important information like daily revenues and forecasts quickly. More importantly, I need to send a report of the monthly sales to our accountant at the end of each month so that my guys can get paid on time. With delivery I have the report set to go out on the 7th of each month so it's impossible to forget. 3. Mid-month Sales Report It's important for my sales people to have some kind of bearing to let them know that they are on the right track; a compass if you will. I've created a mid-month sales report that tells them how much business they have brought in from the beginning of the month, and how much forecasted revenue they have for the rest of the month. This instantly tells them if they are on track to meet their monthly targets. It's also a stat that has become very important to both my VP and CEO. Delivery now generates the report on the 15th of each month at 11pm so that we get the most accurate results (you never know who's working late at Marketcircle!) and emails it directly to each recipient. So on the next business day when the sales people arrive at work, they will be able to make the necessary course adjustments to meet their targets. Delivery is as useful and important to me as DMI. My focus is sales so my examples are mainly sales based. But the concept applies to anyone who works with numbers or deadlines. You can grab any of the 50 reports that Daylite has built in and schedule it to run at anytime without any involvement from you. All you need to do is get the report and make an informed decision. Thanks, Amin |

Daylite Tasks on your iPhone/iPod Touch
One of the biggest challenges I face is having my tasks and appointments of the week or day, being sent to my wife. Since she doesn't have a Mac yet, co-ordinating this, would have to take me, exporting and sending the data as a tab or comma separated file. That is tough to manage and also very time consuming. I have however, been able to get around this, with Daylite Delivery. By creating a simple report on my Tasks and Appointments, I can have Daylite Delivery scheduled to go off in the morning and have the tasks and appointments sent as a report to her email. Also, this has proved quite a workaround for me being able to get tasks on my iPod Touch. For more information, feel free to contact me at the email provided in my signature.
