How do I set the alarm notifications to go off when Daylite isn't running?

This would be helpful to be reminded of events/task/appointments before I had the chance to run Daylite while working on other apps.

Daylite itself does not implement this feature. But... you can get the desired functionality by synching with iCal. The reminders will appear in both Daylite and in iCal (when iCal is running or not).

I don't seem to find a "Sync with iCal" command. I could only see "Sync with Address book" under File>Database.

How do I sync with iCal?

Are you using version 3.5? In earlier versions Daylite did not sync with iCal, although you could export your calendar in iCal format and then add it to iCal (one way essentially).

I'm using daylite 3.2.3. That means I'd have to always export to ical which would be rather troublesome, isn't it?

I'm reluctant to upgrade to daylite 3.5 is because it requires my upgrading my missing sync for palm to version 6 as well.
