We have 3 Macs here, all with copies of DL on them; all three Mac positions need to enter new Contacts into DL.
My objective is to make sure that all contacts entered on any of the Macs make it over to the other Macs. I presume that the way to do this is to always check the "Include in Sync Contact list." If that's true, is there a way to automatically have that check box checked? Second question: What is the difference between that check box and choosing the menu: Actions: Synchronize? Mac Pro 2.66Ghz, Leopard 10.5.x, New to Daylite as of Dec 07. |

Hey Scott,
Daylite is a client server architecture, simply meaning the database resides on one machine (considered the server) and the other Mac's (considered client machines) connect to the one database, keeping all information in a central database. When configuring synchronization, you have the option to sync all contacts, or sync "sync contact list". If you choose sync contact list, still from within the synchronization preferences, you can select include all new contacts, and or organizations to sync list. Daylites synchronization can be done manually, when you want it to Sync, or Automatically Sync. For those users who prefer to sync Daylite when the user wants to, they have the ability to select synchronize from the action menu. For complete details on Synchronization, we recommend checking out the synchronization guide located in the help menu in Daylite.
