Emails are not linking to contacts. I do the required checking of the box, but it does not work. It did work on one occassion but I cannot fathom what it was I did differently, if anything. Notice another post about this without a satisfactory answer. Any ideas. I'm new to this!

Hi Matt,

I assume you are referring to the use of DMI? If so, it can be a bit tricky. The main thing to remember is that you must click either another email, or the white space in the email list below the last one, to "record" the email. Oh, and of course check the box next to the contact in the DMI pane before doing so.

Thanks Howard, very useful tip. Now it works. Can you also tell me if there is a way of importing into Daylite all previous emails on a particular project. I'm hoping I can do this collectively, rather than having to go through each one. Also, am I right in assuming that once an email has been linked, all future emails from that source will also be linked?

Sorry, as far as I know you must link all emails one at a time. And the answer to your other question is: no, future emails still need to be linked each time they come in.
