Is there a SIMPLE way to schedule follow up calls to contacts?
We are using Daylite primarily to follow up on review copies sent to the media. Ideally, I would like to be able to set a callback for a particular client for a date in the future. Then, when I have time set aside to make callback phone calls, I'd like to query Daylite for all contacts due to be called on this date or an earlier date. I gather from searching this forum that Daylite is deficient in this regard. I also get the impression that using Tasks is not ideally suited for this purpose, but maybe I'm wrong on this. Has anyone come up with a workaround? BTW, I don't like "alarms". I had them in another program and they always went off when I didn't have time to pay attention to them. TIA. |

Hi Kelly,
Tasks are the most appropriate way of doing this and the simplest. Simply create a task for the original call. Then mark it as done. At the bottom is a menu with the word next to it. Click on this menu and switch it to Follow-Up task. Then set when you want to do that task. If you have your smartlists set up correctly, you can always keep up on your follow ups. A picture is worth a thousand words so please preview my training video at http://www.macangel.com/video_training/daylite_webinar_7_31208_vid.html it will give you an idea of how to best set up Daylite for this.
