I sent an e-mail to Daylite support asking this same question, but thought perhaps I could get some help from someone here.
I'm trying to import Notes from my Now Contact database into Daylite: 1) I've already imported the Contact to whom the Note pertains 2) The next thing I do is to export the notes to a tab-delimited file from Now Contact. 3) When importing and setting the destination field for the source fields to be imported there are several options for the Notes field which seem like they might work: a) Attach as Note to Contact with Email Address b) Attach as Note to Contact with Contact ID c) Attach as Note to Contact with Source Import ID .. the "with Email Address" option makes sense to me so I exported the e-mail address from Now Contact along with the Note but ... there should be an option to map the Email Address in the Source column to an Email Address in the Destination column and there is not. How would I use this option without this mapping? ... can you explain what the Contact ID and Source Import IDs are? Is there a way I can use them to import Notes? 4) Is there some documentation on Importing from Now Contact and Now Up-To-Date? I haven't found any. |

If you use the built in NUTD&C Importer (File > Import) it will bring the Notes over with the Contacts.

Hey Grant,
For complete details on the NUTD&C importer, check out "importing Now-Up-To-Date and Contact Data" in the apple help system in Daylite. ______________________________________ James Spencer Marketcircle Sales jspencer@marketcircle.com phone: +1 (888) 287-9186 option 1 fax: +1 (905) 248-3101 ======================= |
