Is there a way to search for a client/org by phone number? Sometimes I get caller-id notices of calls I missed, but didn't leave a message. I'd like to be able to see who that vagely familiar phone number belongs to...

thanks

ah, it works using the global "find" search. I was trying to do it with the "filter" box.

Yes you can do this in Global Find. You need to use the correct format though:

(555) 555-5555

Chad -- as you noticed it works in the global search (command-shift-F). It also works in the more normal Quick Find (command-F) too.

I've started using Quick Find in virtually all situations instead of the Filter box, because (a) it gives results *much* faster and (b) it enables you to search across Contacts, Orgs, etc all at the same time (or by user-selections by clicking the buttons in the window; tip: use option-click to select one object type and de-select all the others).
