Can anyone tell me whether this is possible.

I send out a mail merge letter to potential clients and want a 'follow up call' task to be automatically created when the letter has been printed. Is this possible and how can it be done?

Closest thing to that you can do is create an activity set with the mailer as one activity and a call as the next activity. You can set up activity sets to include a lot more than just 2 items as well.

Ok thanks for that. I have an activity set that creates a follow on call task which I have to operate manually.

What I want to do is create a contact then hit a short cut key which will run an activity set that prints a specific letter (using the inbuilt editor) and then creates the follow up call task.

Can this be done? I cannot see how to create short cuts for activity sets or to add the action of 'write letter'

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you are looking for a feature like a "macro" recorder. Or even an Automator action. Neither of which are supported yet. Your best bet right now is to send in your suggestion to

i would love similar function. I'm pretty sure this can be scripted with f-script right? I hope so. I would love to also set up an activity set or that sends out pertinent emails at specific times. I figured this could be done by setting an alarm on the task that ran a script but that isn't an option (like it is in apple's ical).
