Our contracts are stored as pdf files and added to the Daylite project or opportunity as a note (drag + drop pdf in Note) .

Now I want to send this note (+ attachment) to the linked groups/contacts, however Daylite doesn't attach the pdf to this mail ...

(In near future our contracts will be generated in Daylite, but we're in a transitional period now and it would be handy if we could do this all from within one program)

Is it really not possible to send Pdf/tiff/jpg files that are in Daylite as a note or a filereference ?

So I guess the answer is no ???
That's a pitty (and oversight ...)

Have finally found a workaround of sending attachments stored into a note in Daylite .

Assume you have a pdf stored in a note, or an email with pdf attachment (imported through DMI) ,eg. a fax message that you need forwarding to a contact in that opportunity and /or project.

As described above , this is not possible out of the box in Daylite.

Just found following workaround :

Select the note, mail you need in the Activity pane of the Opportunity/Project

-Ctrl-click on it and select "Print"
-A layout window appears -> make your selection
-Click Print
-The familiar OsX (I'm on 10.4.11) appears.
- Under the "Pdf" dropdown box select "Mail PDF"

Now the Note+attachment will get attached to the mail and you'll be able to select the appropriate contact/project/opportunity/... in the DMI drawer where it also needs recording so that you can find it back at every moment under that reference.

This was for me a major problem in Daylite and I was quite frankly amazed that not more people experienced it as well (or maybe it was too obvious and a stupid question/.... )
