I have brought this topic up before. When typing information from a phone conversation in Details of an Appointment, and I get the below prompt stating that I exceeded the maximum characters length? Of all things, why would there be a limit on typing information in details of an Appointment? I wonder where MarketCircle suggests we put the rest of our notes of phone conversations for Appointments? I have lots more information to type regarding my contacts Appointment.
I am assuming this program would not have that kind of limitation, right? Well it does! So, I am thinking "work around" and since Appointment Details has this maximum length limitation I will just put the notes I have in the Minutes section of the Appointment. After doing this I click OK and that works with no limitations prompt.
This is all great but if you want to view the notes that you typed in the Appointment/Minutes anywhere else in the program, you can't. Adding to this there is no where in the program that indicates your Appointment has additional notes in Minutes. Any thoughts regarding this would be appreciated.

In the latest version, when viewing appointments in Appointments view, the details area (bottom half of the Daylite window) for the appointment will display both the Details as well as the Minutes of the appointment, if any.

Sebastien, this is great! We are making progress here. If I can view this in Appointments view why not allow this to be viewed in the Contact Activity View as well? Make this universal, allow the information to flow. Thanks Kevin
This has already been implemented and will be available in the next build of 3.6

Since we have this typing limitation in Appointments Details and Minutes are unlimited why not just switch the titles of the fields around? Change Minutes to Details and Details to Minutes. A users then would not have to be concern about this tying limitation?
A big UI change like this would affect too many users (and possibly reports), and I don't believe would make sense anyways.
The details section is meant to record a small amount of info, like for example the agenda for a meeting, or other info (telling people what to bring to the meeting, etc...).
The minutes section is for recording possibly a large amount of info, like meeting minutes.
As both details and minutes information will be accessible from nearly everywhere, I don't see the logic with switching them around. This would simply cause more confusion and problems at this point.

OK switching field's is not possible? What is the possibility of getting the typing character restrictions removed? If I understand this right you are saying that Details: is for to enter something short like "The contact is bringing cookies to our next meeting." What if the Appointment is not a meeting but for a scheduled Appointment call with a contact and all the user wants to do is type notes of the phone conversation? What is Marketcircle's "non-workaround" version of taking a scheduled Appointment phone call and tying notes of the conversation for reference purposes?
