I am looking at new cell phones to replace my current one. I am using Daylite 3.1 but want to get a phone that will allow me to sync my contacts over. Would like to get rid of my Palm. The fields don't sync correctly and I loose data.

What phone from Verizon would you recommend?

What kind of data are you losing, and what fields aren't synching? I'd want to be sure that a new device will work the way you need it to. Do you want to sync any data other than contact names and phone numbers?

I realize many people have problems with synching and I have cleaned up some messes. There are important details in the setup and initial sync (and at major updates), but you might not have to rule out the Palm OS. I use a Treo 700p (also available from verizon) with no problems synching, and have set up other Treo users as well.

One person I know gave up on the Razr because of difficulty using it (too slow to look up names, difficult to add entries) and opted for a Treo instead. I'd be interested to hear about other options as well.

thanks erin. i have certain phone fields set up in daylite as main or work or home, etc but when i sync over to palm, the fields become phone and fax. the particular names don't remain the same. also true for the address fields that i have. I specify home, work, po box, etc but they dont carry over to palm. my categories dont sync over either.
