Hello again. I quickly checked the forum and could not find anything concerning this, so here goes.
When listing opportunities, I click an opportunity and then click the activity button to bring up all activities for that opportunity. It works. However, when I click the arrow next to the opportunity contact, NOTHING HAPPENS. the arrow works as expected for other objects. Am I doing something wrong or is it a small bug? Regards Hamilton. |

Just wondering if you reported the bug yet?

Hi, I think so. The better question might be "Have they registered it and acknowledged it?" Sorry to sound cynical, I just do not know as all bugs or minor updated I have reported have gone unanswered (except for the automated email response).

Hamilton,
Please rest assured, we read ALL bug reports and log them. Minor bug reports combined with well noted feedback, all receive the same response as we are unable to personalize a response for each entry. Just wanted to let you know straight from the horses mouth.......... Aprile Evans |

Is there any chance of making some sort of list of noted—but not yet acted upon—bugs available to the general public? (Or at least the members of this board…) It would be very useful to know what you already have on file and/or an ETA on a fix. In an ideal world I was thinking something like FogBugz, or a publically accessible Daylite database if that’s how you keep track. Of course, I wouldn’t want such a facility unless it was worth the ROI, and would take attention from actually working on fixing the bugs; but even a weekly or monthly text file posted to the beta list summarising what was on your radar would help. Cheers |

I"ve found that having such a list available means that many bugs don't get reported because someone thought they saw the bug already posted.
I find it is best to have as many reports of the bug as possible because you do run into those situations where two reports of the same bug turn into two reports of two different bugs. Also it is helpful to have other information available when possible (such as machine type, OS, etc.) So my vote is to just report everything you find. Well, they fixed this bug. I got an email back saying it has been fixed and a like to the fix. All works good.
My vote is to have a place on this forum where bug fixes can be reported. also a enhancements list? that way Daylite people should not get bugged as much? |
