I've been following the threads on installation of 3.5. I'd like to upgrade, but I'm a bit nervous.
What's the consensus? Do it now, or wait for the dot-1 release? |

Chris -
I'd say it rather depends on how much you need to wrestle with synchronization issues. I don't do any sync work & v3.5 has been entirely problem free for me. - David OS X v10.4.11 Daylite v3.7.5 (Build 1604) |

We did have some issues - but we've addressed most of them with 3.5.1.

I had a lot of issues with syncing initially. I think some of it was that my Daylite and Addressbook records were kind of out of whack with each other. I have owned Daylite since version 1.
I chose to erase my Daylite contacts and orgs and then do the first sync. I don't have that many projects in my current database so this didn't set me back too much. Others have erased their Addressbook records and synced with Daylite for the first run. I can say now that syncing works great. I even sync with iCal now. I have a G4 rev A powerbook and this version seems a bit more sluggish than 3.2.3. However, automatic syncing makes it all worthwhile. Make sure you backup Addressbook, iCal and Daylite prior to starting. That way, you can always go back if you see any issues. Restore works like a charm on all three. |
