I noticed that no one has answered your question yet. I don't have an exact answer, but can you export your data from Act! into a tab or comma delimmitted format? If so then that can be imported into Daylite. There is already Act2000 and Act Version 6 import support - can you save your database in those formats? Hopefully someone else with more Act experience will be able to chip in here.
Regards,
Howard

I was in the same situation. I was able to export the main information. But without paying huge money, I ended up losing my notes and histories. Then I re-inputed my schedule. If there was an easier way, I didn't find it.

I really enjoy the features of daylite over act. Email if you need any other information

I've been searching for several days on how to get ACT! v 7 (2005) over to Daylite and it's having the same problems. Seriously... I think Daylite is losing money because in the last 6 months, Mac sales have increased a large amound and many people will just go with another web based CRM because they can convert ACT!. Marketcircle... Please realize how important customers data is, and please realize that if they can't take their data, it IS A DEAL BREAKER!!!
Well, yes, I'm sure it is. However, this is one of those "do the math" type things. How many people are on ACT! versions greater than 6, who are considering switching to the Mac? And how much effort is it to write an importer for it, given that the importer must obviously be different than the one for ACT! 6? Say this takes an engineer a couple weeks to do -- there's an opportunity cost compared to what they could be doing instead, which might be more beneficial to prospects or customers. Have you tried things like export (or import-) to Outlook or export as vcard? This will lose a lot of your history info but it will bring over the contact info. Daylite has no problem with vcards.
