We just added a second user to our current daylite database. We are having problems, because each user is being treated as an individual, when we want all the contacts to be shared by both users.
For example... We want everyone to be able to sync ALL the contacts with their address book. Currently whoever the "owner" of a "contact" is, is the only one who can sync with their address book? We want everyone to have, see and use the same calendar. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks, Eric |

Hi Eric
Regarding sync I believe the answer is to create a Group for the contacts you want to sync, add contacts to it, and set that as the "constrain group" for the sync in Preferences > Address Book. Do a Find in these forums for "sync constrain" or "Address Book sync" for further reading including some of the things you should watch for. The calendar situation is not a problem. You obviously want each user to be able to keep track of their appointments separately. In order to see other people's calendars you create a Calendar Smart List, which lets you choose the Sources for the Calendar information it shows. This allows a lot of flexibility in a multi-user environment. Nick |
