Hi
Yes you can have XML data that exports into Daylite. There is a development kit available but I cannot seem to find its location on the MC site at the moment. MC can you assist here? Another great alternative is that you get your form to produce a vCard file that is attached to the email notification when someone fills in their details online. I have had this feature developed for our online shop (www.juniorgeo.co.uk) and it works really smoothly. So every time we get an order, we receive an email with a vCard attached. you can then simply drop the Vcard into the Daylite icon on the dock and it will be imported. The vCard code is public domain. Best regards Bill |

Awesome. Thanks Bill for taking the time to post back. I will look into the evelopement kit, but I'm honestly not sure I'm software development caliber just yet. I love the idea of the vCard though. If it's as simple as making an adjustment on the site, that would seem a far easier path.
Wondering is there a way to track what fields are entered where so it all flows correctly into Daylite For instance would one set up extra fields to carry info suppled in the online form. Again, many thanks for the feedback. Best, Kevin |

Hi again.
vCards are fine for getting standard information... firstname, lastname, company, phone, email, address etc. If you are needing anything else to be imported then you would need to use the XML import kit. It uses php. regards Bill |

This article has details on importing XML data; it does have to be formatted for something Daylite can understand, but the scripts (which are an example of getting user input through an HTML form) should give you a good idea of how it works.

Thank you Bill and Sebastien,
I think I will get a little help and go the xml route as that is how forms are devilvered from my site now. Also wondering iff there is a way that DL can do a live sync with a MySQL db. All the form info is there so perhaps it's possible to sync it with DL from it's sourse rather than through the email sidecar it arrives in. Many thanks for all your help on this. Best. \ Kevin |
