Hi, We are trying to get our heads around resources.

Here is how we hope to be able to use it.

We organise events.

So when a client books we create an appointment and add resources to that appointment. So for example we book a party for new years eve and we want to make sure we take 2 bar units to serve the drink over. How do we select the quantity of the resource "bar unit"?

We can select one unit but not 2 or 4 etc.

Are we using resources incorrectly? Would we be better off using another feature?

Unfortunately Daylite is not yet able to handle resources in the way that you would like.
with any luck a future release will expand on this concept of bookable resources.
At the present time you can only book your bar units if you create Bar Unit 1 and Bar Unit 2 as separate resources.
The trouble is that booking a resource does not lock it out so other can still book that resource for other events.
This issue has been flagged in previous posts and the folks at MC know about it.
