Evening. Sometimes I get lost in daylite, and I will tell you why. I have an object in the main window showing links, etc.. I open up the object in its own window and see its links. Now I want to see a link, in the main window and keep the individual window open. I cannot do this, thus I have to remember what I want, close the "window" and do a search in the main window to find it again.
I cannot open a link into the main window from an edit window because there is no context menu or arrow to do that in the edit window link area.
I hope I am explaining correctly. It is a real pain to do a find on something where you have a one liner right there in front of you. It actually disturbs my workflow and I do occasionally forget what I have to do and start again.
Do not get me wrong. I love all the improvements and the stability it is now showing. Just a couple of minor things. I think it can be fixed where the edit window links have little arrows against it so you can display the object in the main window. I cannot find any options to work around this annoyance.
Does anyone else have this problem, or has a solution for me. It is not really a bug, but more of an minor enhancement.
Well that is enough for me now. Thoughts please.

Hamilton.

I think there is a way to do what you want. Next time you have an object open in it's own window and want to open one of the links in the MAIN window - OPTION click on the link and it will open in the main window instead, replacing what was previously shown without closing the window you had open.

Don't forget the FORWARD/BACK navigation buttons - they will help you get back to where you were after all this, if that is what you want to do.

Regards,

Howard

Perfect. Option double click works for me. thank you so much. It is the little things that make a difference.
Mind you a little arrow would not go amiss in the edit windows. As there seems plenty of screen real-estate there? Hint Hint Daylite team

You have a good idea. Did you send it to Marketcircle?

I actually requested this some time ago. It never showed up in any release. It seems to me that enhancements and bug fixes go into a black hole. No response or visibility when a request goes through. I understand that the Daylite team may not want other users to see what can be improved. But there is there another side to the coin?
