I'm having some troubles with email and daylite...
I received an email that I want to attach to a new project... so I check the email, then click add project, etc. then the email is still not linked... also, how can I link other emails from others to this project... thanks, Marc. |

I found this old post and there's not a reply however I'm having the same issue. I'm hoping that bringing this back to the surface may get a response.
I could see that often times I could receive an email, attach it to a client but could be later that day or the next until I enter the project. Yet I want to be able to go back and attach the email to the project. Right now, I'm not able to do that. |

It is possible to do what you want. The emails in Daylite can be dragged and dropped on other objects, including existing (or new, once created) projects.
The way I do this may not be obvious to everyone. Try this: 1. Set the view up so you have a contact selected that has the email you are interested in linking to a project. Select "Activity" in the bottom section so the email is in the list. 2. Click on the email (the icon) of interest and without letting go of the button drag the email to the upper left and rest (hover) right over the Projects shortcut in the Navigator Grid. If you are patient (a couple of seconds) the view will switch to Projects and you can continue dragging and then dropping that email over the Project of interest. Now this email is linked to the Project you dropped it on too. Here is another way to do it: 1. In the QuickFind window, search for the Project of interest. 2. Set the view up so you have a contact selected that has the email you are interested in linking to a project. Select "Activity" in the bottom section so the email is in the list. 3. Click on the email (the icon) of interest and without letting go of the button drag and drop the email to the Project in the QuickFind window. Now this email is linked to the Project you dropped it on too. There are several ways to do this, for instance you could reverse the steps and instead of dragging the email to the project, you could drag the project to the email. Your choice. Experiment! Did not know about drag and drop. That's a handy piece of information. I was trying to select the email and then use the link button. Newbie! Just exploring and trying to decide on Daylite. I really like it though!
