Does anyone have a good workflow for handling forwared messages using DMI?
It seems the only option is to add the message as a note to the contact that forwarded the message. Is there an easy way to add the message to another existing contact, besides copy & paste? Howard Holtzman |

Could you just take the message over by the normal DMI route, then adjust the links for the mail message once it's in DL? It seems like it would be a bit easier and a few keystrokes shorter than manually copying it, which would still require you to make links. It will also retain the headers that show that the original message was forwarded to you by someone else, in case that is important.
I find that linking objects is so simple in DL3 with drag-and-drop, and the ability to do so one of the key strengths of managing the web of information involved in contact management. Nick |

That's essentially what I do, Nick.
I enter the note in Daylite using DMI, then select "go to message" and clean it up -- add the right contacts, delete the forward cruft, etc. Takes an extra 30 seconds but otherwise works very well. A lot better than copy and past with a new note, for sure. |
