We have a new beta (5) of Daylite 3.15, DMI 2.8 and Daylite Server 3.15 that works on Lion.
Changes since Beta 4:
UPGRADE PROCEDURE FOR THIS BETA: [Update: if you have any offlines, we suggest waiting until the next beta/GM release before upgrading to avoid having to recreate your offlines] You will need to upgrade both Daylite Server and all Daylite clients for this beta (and Daylite Delivery if you use it).
Upon login with beta 5, you will be notified that your offline needs to be recreated (if you had one); any changes from an offline that need to be transferred will be done so at this point (NOTE: this step can take some time - you should also allocate time for this). You will then need to recreate your offline. Download: We hope this is the last beta. Thanks! NOTE: The Daylite installer includes DMI. Please restart the Mail application after installing Daylite. Beta 1 to beta 4 users can simply install over their existing Daylite installation. New Lion users can simply install beta 5, there is no need to have beta 4 to beta 1 installed first. Report issues/feedback for Daylite, DMI, & Server from within Daylite Help > Send Feedback Update: RC 1 has been posted. This message has been edited. Last edited by: AJ, |

Does this latest beta client require us to update server version which is still running 3.14 under Mac OS X 10.6?
We get the enclosed message when attempting to log in to database... http://www.cadsoftsolutions.co...1-08-16_09-06-35.png Thanks in advance Nick |

Yes, both server and client machines must be updated to the new versions of Daylite Server and Daylite, respectively. Need help in Daylite or Billings? Check the Help menu for Apple Help documentation. Not sure what to do? Get help for windows and dialogues by click on the help button found in the bottom corner. |

Hello Sebastien
Thanks for prompt reply, just wanted to make sure as this is contrary to Sean M's advice with b4... http://forums.marketcircle.com...430023036#6430023036 Best regards Nick |

A query from a trial user...
I'm about to go and purchase the boxed program (I like to have tangible things !) and curious about this beta that's floating around. Will the licence number of my boxed version (3.14 I'd assume) work with the betas ? I currently have 2 Macs on Lion, of which one will likely take Daylite. Also, if I'm moving through the betas until the final release (which seems to be pretty soon anyway), when the final one comes out, will it be a free upgrade ? |

Any 3.x license (including ones from the boxed version) will work with the beta, and the final release will be free of charge.
I suggest you download and install the beta from the links above instead of installing from the boxed version. Need help in Daylite or Billings? Check the Help menu for Apple Help documentation. The boxed copy in Australia has Daylite 3.10 or 3.11 in it. The boxed copy also does not contain DMI.
Having said that, the license will work fine and the upgrade from beta to final is free. With the advent of the Mac App Store and the fact that Apple is reducing boxed software shelf space, we are phasing out boxed copies altogether. |

Do the betas act as trial versions until they've got licence numbers in it ? I assume that the box really only contains the CD and serial number, that's what I'm buying ?

Ah AJ thanks for clearing that up. When you say the DMI isn't included in the box version, are you alluding to the fact that a downloaded version does ?
Are there plans to put it on the App Store soon ? |

Online, Daylite is available in two versions. The regular Daylite is the same as the boxed copy. Daylite Productivity Suite is Daylite combined with Daylite Mail Integration. You can purchase the boxed copy, upgrade it to 3.15 and purchase Daylite Mail Integration online but you'd be better off to just purchase Daylite Productivity Suite from the online store. In North American pricing, there is a $10 savings if you purchase Daylite Productivity Suite. I am having all sorts of problems. It would not let me install without deleting my offline database. I then was able to install and it took a long time to verify data in the offline. It then came back with "failed to verify offline". Now I can't log into my shared database either. Any suggestions?

OK...so I got everything working again, except for DMI.
I am having issues with DMI where a contact is clearly in Daylite, but for some reason some of my contacts wont show up, it shows that the contact is not in Daylite and when I add it, it doesn't do anything. Any thoughts? |

My server is running 10.6.8 and I can't upgrade it for a while longer because of compatibility of other software. My laptop is running lion and is having syncing issues. If I install the beta server software on a machine that doesn't have lion and the beta on the laptop with lion, is this going to work? Thanks in advance.

@Brett. 3.15 Beta 5 server and client should run fine on 10.6.8.
Anyone else having Ethan's DMI issue? Thanks. |
