Hi there everyone. I was hoping that someone could give me some help/advice.

I have been assigned the task of figuring out how to work some stuff and Daylite and as a new Mac and Daylite user it's been a little tough.

Here's what I need to do:
1. I have an excel file that I use for a packing slip and I need to know how I put this in Daylite and how I can get it to auto-populate the customers information. So when I pull it up it will automatically fill out the Business Name, the persons name etc. I actually need to do this with a few forms, but if I get one done I can probably figure out the rest. I know that Filemaker can help me with making the forms and connecting them Daylite and I have read a lot on how to do this. I am just missing the big picture.

2. Is there a way to make labels in Daylite? We have certain labels that we put on each box and I just need to know if there is someway to put a templet in, where it will fill in the info I need on the label.

Any help you guys can give me is really appreciated. Thanks so much.

Cheerfully,
Afton

Hi.
A couple of comments...

1. It is easy to create labels and packing slips that will use the data held in Daylite.
Go to Actions -> New Print Layout and choose the appropriate one.
I would start off with the label sheet and try to create a standard label sheet putting the data you need onto it.
Then you could move on to the move complex packing slip.

The editor takes a bit of getting used to but once you have the principles then creating these print layouts is quite easy.
There are also a number movies on the MC site to help you understand the editor.

Hope this helps
