I'd like any suggestions people have on using GTD with Daylite.

Thanks James; that's quite a neat document and I had not seen it already.

I wish I had because I'd already worked out for myself that I did not need, as I had previously attempted, to include Appointments in my GTD plan as, say, GhostAction, does. If I need to take a meeting I create a task that says "Arrange meeting" and place it under @Calls; my agenda does the rest.

I had also come to the understanding that my task categories needed to be redefined as Contexts but cannot agree with you on "Locations" as we always blank that field when we set-up a database (one day it will be editable and we'll all be happy, etc; it would be neat because it's ideal for Contexts. Maybe when that field gets added to Preferences we can edit the label too; Locations or Contexts?).

The My Tasks/List View suggestion was great too, as was the DMI => Tasks hack.

If John Worthington is looking for ideas for all of those Smart Lists you suggest he could usefully spend a day or two with OmniFocus[O-F] and have a look at how they manage the various views. In fact the only real difference between DL and O-F is the ability in O-F to distinguish between parallel and serial task lists. On the other hand that feature may be a bit nth-degree for most users anyway?

Can I also give a name-call to Leo Babauta and his ZTD extension of the concept (take 7 Habits.. plus Getting things.. plus Zen, remove tautology and mix into a little eBook)?

Oh yes, I nearly forgot; O-F has a really neat little iPhone/iPod touch application too. Such a pity ZTD is so fixed on analogue capture, I was planning to give my afternoon over to finding out how to use it. Guess I'll have to do some work now instead.. thumbsup

Thanks again James.
