Hi, Please help. I am creating a form in daylite and creating a smartlist in contacts where by it should list the appropriate contacts according to the criteria in the smart list and the forms data. However it just simply is not working. I have checked my smart list criteria again & again, but still incorrect contacts are appearing in the smart lists I have created. Please advise.
Hi Howard, specifically the form that is used against a contact and contains tickbox (yes/no) data. We use this to check against the status of contacts. We have created a smart list that has the rule "is Yes" and another that "is No" but all contacts that have the form appear in both lists, when they should appear in one or the other but not both.
Thank you, wasnt me being stupid then! I have reported it and they are looking into it, annoying though as I need them to work, its effecting our process!! /
Yes, we also confirmed this as a bug and reported to Marketcircle several months ago. Last I heard about this in talking with support is that they will be working on it but could not say when it would be addressed; it turns out that setting up Forms with full search capabilities using Smart Lists is not an easy programming task. I am sure Marketcircle's engineers will get to it at some point, however. They've had their hands full with setting up sync services and other features that have been added to Daylite in recent months. We look forward to having fully searchable forms in Daylite as soon as possible!
Typical MarketCircle shoddy work. (did you not test this feature before you released it?! Ever heard of QA?!!?!) And don't expect it to be fixed any time soon... Daylite's bug list grows with each new version.
Also, anyone else annoyed by the lack of visibility controls for forms? We currently use forms to keep track of projects that need to be invoiced, but since EVERYONE can see this info, we only allow upper management to use daylite (limiting it's usefulness).
MC: Do you guys not PLAN THINGS? Or do you just let your developers make it up as they go?
Oh, and lets not forget the lack of "OR" controls between criteria on smart lists - you can only create lists that match ALL of the criteria you add (ie: the only logical operator is "AND"). Unbelievable.
Whoa! I just realized this thread is from 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This extremely simple bug hasn't been fixed in TWO YEARS?!?!?!?! Holy sweet jesus....MarketCircle: Worst software company, ever.
Oh look <mock horror>, a bug one of my team reported back in 2007 is still there!!!</mock horror> I'm really getting fed up with this. How hard can it be to fix such a simple problem?? Marketcircle: is there anyone working on the development of this software any more?
Incidentally I also reported this as a bug back in 2002.
