I hope someone from the MC support team can answer this question, because it is a major waste of time for me, when preparing reports with merged date fields.
When I merge a date field in one of my numerous reports, I get output such as this : "2007-10-10 12:00:00 -0300", which is obviously not what I want. I actually want and need the "2008-0x-0x" part. The rest is something that I need to erase at least 10 times in each report I make. And believe me, I complete a lot of reports, especially at the end of the month. Does anybody at MC know how to correct this and it would be greatly appreciated if someone answered my question. TIA |

What merge key are you using for these date fields ?

Hi
It's alright, I just found the answer on your kb. It wasn't easy to find, but when I wrote to support, the web page from MC suggested that I add mediumDate$ to <$contact.extraDate3$>. All is good now. This was one of the worst irritants for me given that I use dates a lot in my letters. This, plus the fact that I can now merge with Word is a Godsend. I guess I should have researched the kb a little more. Thanks |
