upgraded sucessfully to 3.5

i have around 11,000 contacts in daylite database but only around 500 or so was synced with Address book(from version 3.2.x) by using a daylite group.

Now I am trying to sync Daylite with 3.5
and going on the first time sync with address book and ical

it seems to be stuck on the screen(running for the past 1.5hr)

it just says "dalite is now doing its first full sync. This may take several minutes and can't be cancelled"
Synchronizing.....

also i did see few calendars get created in ical with title untitled and my address book.app still has 500 contacts..

not sure what is going on.. is there a log file i can trace out?

Thats it.. is there an issue there?

Hopefully you aren't synching all 11000 contacts. That would take a real long time.

A few hours have passed. Did it finish?

yeah i thought it was trying to do that. I finally gave up and Force Quit the application. The interface is not right in that it assumes on the first sync all the contacts in the database. I was never given a chance to select the contacts I want.

After force quitting the application - I updated the Sync contacts with the right set of data and tried to do a sync again(Prefereces-> Sync-> Reset Sync).
But somehow it does not seem to work correctly. The address book has 540 contacts and Sync Contacts has 512 contacts. I assumed they should be the same after the sync and it does not look like it is working. Similary the calendars dont sync as well.
I am assuming the Force Quit might have caused a problem? Also - I disabled Plaxo(latest beta) on the address book as well.
Im hoping someone can help me fix this soon and I can start using Market circle for my calendar and contacts from now on.

Hi hsetty,

Please try to reset the synchronization by going into the synchronization Preferences in Daylite and clicking on the Reset Sync button at the bottom right.

After you have done the reset, turn off syncing. Then turn it back on. Let it go for a while, maybe 20-30 minutes, and then force quit first nothing has synced.

Relaunch Daylite and go directly to the menu: Help -> Email Log Files. Please mention this forum thread in your email.

Thank you.

i think i finally got it working - it looks like I made the initial mistake fo trying to sync "My contacts" which had 11000 contacts and I left the address book sync running over the weekend. Finally I had 11000 contacts in the addressbook. After deleting all that and correcting the Sync Contacts folder in Daylite it worked fine.

But now I am getting an error syncing the calendar entries. Daylite crashes and I sent the crash notification message already to Marketcircle Support. Here are the last few lines of the log file

GWSyncCalendarProcessor - Pulled an addition for record id: com.apple.syncservices:338589DD-75F7-44D6-A65D-51DD5985FA0B record: {

}

I am receiving the same error when I try and sync with iCal, which has about two years worth of entries.

Did you ever get a resolution to this?Thanks

Bill
