Hi,

I'm trying to move a database from one computer to another and I have followed the intrsuctions to the letter. The problem I'm having is once I have double clicked the compressed backup file and the uncompressed file is visible on my desktop (abc.db), I open the dbutil and it will not display my .db file at all. I click refresh and nothing appears.

I could really use some help as I'm sure there is something I must be overlooking!

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi,
The uncompressed database (ie abc.db) must be placed in 1 of 2 locations (which location depends on your computer's setup):
1. look here first: harddrive/Library/OpenBase/Databases
1a. if you have a Databases folder, that's where your database goes
2. or it could be here: harddrive/Users/Shared/Databases.obstorage
2a. if you have a Databases.obstorage item, right-click or control-click on it and select Show Package Contents. A window will open called Databases.obstorage. Put your database in there.

Good luck!
