I recently reported the following to Marketcircle and had this conversation:

I exported my calendar to iCal and everything exported as expected EXCEPT for events created by another user which I have accepted an invitation to.

Hi George,

Currently, you can only exports the objects that are owned by you.
If the appointment was created by another user and scheduled with you,
it will not be exported since the owner of the appointment is still the other user.
I have reported this to our engineers as a feature request.
However, what you can try is to change the owner of the item to yourself, then try exporting.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thuwaran,

I understand. However, I would hope that this issue would receive relatively hight priority because of the logical inconsistency that it presents to the user. By that, I mean that it it very odd to have timeblocks showing up in Daylite even when the calendar is limited to a user and to not export those events to iCal.

In any case, thank you for your reply!

Sincerely,

Thanks, George.

I raised the same issue a month ago. It's the same logical inconsistency when syncing. We also want this issue to receive high priority!

Hi Kyle,

When exporting to iCal, or Synchronizing with a Palm device,
only the appointments that are 'assigned to' or 'owned by' you will get exported, or synced.

A way to get around this, is to assign all objects to 'you' so that you are the owner for all entries.

The following knowledge base article will help you with this:
http://www.marketcircle.com/kb/idx/0/265/article/

The above article also provides an alternative to 'changing the owner of the objects' method in order to sync with Palm.
However, when you want to export appointments to iCal that do not belong to you, you might have to resort to that method.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Thuwaran Namas
