Funny thing happened when I tried to do a Word merge to 79 contacts. I chose print right away and first had trouble with an error dialog that kept popping up. I finally figured out that opening the template directly made that go away. The merge progressed, albeit verrrrrry slooooooowly. I returned to my computer to find that the docs didn't print and I have 79 word documents spread across my desktop. Okay. I know I probably did something dumb. Can someone here please tell me what the matter is? Thanks, Mark

No matter ... This is how the Word merge works.
If this something you do often, you can create a old style .dlrpt report with a RTF template inside. Select your contacts go to print and then select your .dlrpt and save out the RTF. Then open the RTF in Word. Now this solution is a little involved, but at least we have a workaround Here is a KB article on the topic: http://www.marketcircle.com/kb/idx/46/202/article/ |

For anyone who comes across this post, we've since enhanced the merge engine for Daylite 3.7.4 and added support for Word 2008 and Pages. We invite you to try it out and see the improvements.
Thanks, Amin |

This is great. Could you please tell me how to change the default for saving the file to somewhere other than the desktop? It's not in any of the preferences. I need to save it in a folder called Patient reports and I need the contact to point to that so that I can access it via Daylite. Is there a way?
TIA |
