Hi Danny,
Looks like the host computer (the computer where the Daylite database 'lives') is currently running an incompatible version. You guys should all be running the same version on all computers. Hope this helps, Cynthia MacBook Pro OS X 10.5/Daylite 3.8 ______________________________________ Daylite Master Partner, Daylite Report Certified www.daylitehelp.com ______________________________________ |

I had the same error message come up. I only have DL installed on one computer so I'm not sure where the incompatibility is coming from.
update - I tried to open the program about five times this morning and got that error message each time. Tonight I tried one more time - and it let me in this time. This message has been edited. Last edited by: vallaur, |

Checking the Daylite and Openbase would be a start?
Make sure you get the build number on DL? |

We are currently investigating this issue, where certain users are facing this.
Could you please try the following: 1) Drag the Daylite icon out of the dock. 2) Download (if you have already on your computer, trash that) and reinstall Daylite from our website. 2) After the installation is complete, go to your Daylite 3 Folder in the Applications folder. 3) Drag the Daylite 3 Application onto the dock and start the program. Can you please email me back in regards to whether this issue is resolved or not? My email is included in my signature. Thanks! I got the exact same error.
This error occurred after I installed LightSpeed 2. http://www.xsilva.com/daylite_connector.php I was was considering implementing the LightSpeed 2 connector with Daylite. I followed Sean's recovery directions above and it fixed the problem. I am now able to connect to my Daylite database (thank you). I have uninstalled LightSpeed 2 from my server. Has anyone tried Sean's fix?
We too have had a lot of problems with the latest release of Daylite3, same problems as what the others have listed. This is extremely frustrating, we switched to mac and daylite3 to get away from these maximizer sort of problems! Until this upgrade we had been very happy with daylite3, but now we question our decision to change. Will look to see what others find out. |

Well...I just tried Sean's technique and it looks like I screwed everything up. I quit then trashed my Daylite, looked up an old version due to my use of Tiger and tried to reload it.
Things were going well until the install of the Daylite app told me "there is nothing to install"! What is that? Any WHY DOES MARKET CIRCLE NOT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER THAT I CAN CALL FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE TO SUPPORT THIS ISSUE? I JUST BOUGHT THIS TWO WEEKS AGO AND I'VE SPENT WAAAY TOO MUCH TIME TRYING TO BE MY OWN IT PERSON. THAT IS NOT MY JOB...AND THAT IS NOT WHY I PURCHASED THIS SOFTWARE. |

Hi PK.
First of all the steps that I had provided refer to an issue in 3.7.3 back in May 2008. Were you also getting the same error message that Danny was getting (Error Code 130)? As mentioned by Oscar in the previous post, please contact our support team. You can email them directly at support @ marketcircle.com. That is because the Mac OS X Installer tool detected that you installed a later version already, and in such cases does not allow installation of older version of the same application (ie. there's nothing 'new' to install as far as it's concerned). To work around this: in the /Library/Receipts folder of the root (boot) hard drive, delete any ".pkg" files starting with "Daylite" and "OpenBase" Need help in Daylite or Billings? Check the Help menu for Apple Help documentation. |
