I am working with a SMB client who is excited about using Daylite 3.5 syncing capabilities but are stuck on a very important function, syncing contacts entered from one user but syncing from another. Here's further explanation.

The administrative assistant, Sheila, enters information for a new contact into Daylite. Tania, the company Owner, is the primary user who is set up to sync w/ Address Book. I am using .Mac to then populate the rest of the Address Books across the company.

Here's the problem. Sheila will enter a contact into Daylite (even declare the owner to be Tania) and of course it shows up in the Daylite "Contacts" view on all the companies computers. However, this contact does NOT show up in the Sync Contacts area of Tania's Daylite. Tania's Daylite preferences state that it will automatically add contacts and organizations to Sync (they are checked to do so).

As of right now, Sheila enters a contact and it shows up on Tania's machine. If double-clicked (on Tania's Daylite) then you see (unchecked) the "Include in Sync Contacts list."

My dream would be to have a Preference to include "Include All Contacts in Sync List (Global)." No matter who enters in the contact it will be synced to Address Book. Or, if only one user can sync then allowing the "include in sync..." to be an option if you designate the "Sync User" to the be owner of the contact (object). So, if Sheila enters in a contact from her User account but designates Tania to be the owner then she will be able to assign a sync.

Let me know if this is a possibility of if there is a way of doing this right now that I am missing.

Here's a possible solution I would like to propose and see if you would think it would work for my situation.

Set up Sheila and Tania to sync. Sheila will be the primary sync to the Address Book (then .Mac populates all Address Books). Tania is set up to sync to her iCal (.Mac doesn't populate to all computers). This solution could allow all computers to see and use the Address Book contacts and Tania can use the Address Book in Mail and sync her Palm device to the Address Book and iCal entries.

What do you think? Let me know if this would solve my issue.
