Hi, I create a letter template with a jpg attachment at the bottom. When you do a "Write Letter in Daylite and then merge and open in email client, it comes out with upside down printing with no jpg!!
It seems that the only way to email attachments without problem is to ensure no attachment is in the template, open in email client and attach manually.
Has anyone else had this problem and knows how to resolve it? It is not practical to manually put attachments in each email (mass mail merge operation).
Help please. As I have a 250 emails to send in a couple of days.

I was just searching for an answer to the exact same problem. I have to send an email (personalised) to 94 contacts today. I really need the personalisation so therefore opted for the letter template but cannot find a way to attach the graphical results of a poll.

Like you, it turns my text upside down with no image.

Does anyone know a way we could climb over this hurdle (is it a bug?)

This is a known bug with the application.

A very small percentage of customers have written to us who are also
encountering the same issue, but it doesn't seem to be a common problem across the board.

Will we advise you of our findings when they become available, and apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

FYI, I am also waiting for this fix. All of my new leads receive PDF files, and so this is getting tedious having to attach them by hand.

I hope a fix is included in the next update!

The specific bug is that my form letter with attachments is being sent upside down and with no attachments!

I would like to join to this forum because I have the same problem. I need to send a commercial mailing to 200 contacts. This email needs to be personlaised, that's why I've chosen the template option. However I would like to attach a PDF document and I couldn't find this feature.

Attach the file to every email one by one is a terrible solution. I will need to repeat marketing and emailing activities in the incoming weeks.

I am using the last updated version of Daylite 3.2.3 Is there someone who know if the last Daylite version solves this problem? Any suggestion about how can I work whit this.

Have you considered using a program called Direct Mail?
I use it regularly when I want to send html emails to my customers (usually 600 at a time).
It will do rich text, plain text or html plus it will permit you to add attachments too.

There is a link from Daylite so you simply select the list of contacts and export that list to direct maail. You then compose your mail in Direct Mail. you can use the merge features to make each one unique too.

When I have sent the email I then select the contacts list again and create a note which is then linked to all selected contacts. "Email xxxxxx sent today" or similar

Even tho this program should be able to handle this mail merge thing, I've persued your advice and downloaded Direct Mail for testing. I do not see this 'link' you refer to. Could you clifiy?

This seems to be a huge oversight on the part of marketcircle. Email attachments are a basic requirement for users of Daylite.

Please fix.

Yeah, and guess what - well over a year since this bug was noted on the forums it is still there. I just tried sending a rich-text formatted email and Daylite is sending it over to Apple Mail upside down and reversed! C'mon, guys! (I am reporting this via a trouble ticket as well).

I remembered reading about this recently in the release notes, so I checked. Sure enough, it's in the 3.7.4 release notes:

" Fixed a bug that caused certain merged documents to be output backwards and flipped when being sent to an email client or printed."

So it looks like this should be fixed; I haven't tested this since I don't know what caused it exactly.

Did you even try with the latest release?
