Several times over the last few weeks I have found that categories have merged (e.g. I have a "client" category and a "colleague" category..suddenly I would have two clients and no colleague categories). Has anyone else reported this problem and what is the recommended fix?

Hello.
Nobody has answered this so I thought I would say that I have never seen this behaviour before. There is no mechanism within DL to do this other than to go into the Preferences and delete a category, at which point you are prompted to nominate a category to place any existing entries into. If you see what I mean. Is there another user who may have edited the categories at all? Seems very strange I must say. Regards Bill |

I thought it strange too! I have the latest version of Daylite and am running on a new MacbookPro running Leopard. I am also using Missing Sync to download from the MacBook to a Treo. I have wondered whether iSync was fouling up AB, MissingSync and Daylite databases. If there are any good ideas out there, I'm listening!

Hi. Ah yes well if you are synching then strange things can happen.
Especially with Missing Sync and the new version of DL (3.5+). Can you not use the AD syncing with your Treo. Also read the instructions about synching very carefully indeed. I had to read it many times but I still had issues when I first got the synching to work. Not saying that is the reason for your missing categories but it is possible dpending on the settings for synching you have used. cheers |
