How do a add the same Note to a large group of Contacts without linking them together. I would like the Note to be linked to the Contacts appropriate Organization, but I doubt that is possible if we are not linking the other Contacts in this process.

Hi guys,
Do you mean that you want to create a Note and link it to multiple Contacts? If so, just select the desired Contacts and do Create>New Note for # Objects (or right click on the Contacts>New Note for # Objects, or use the New Note icon if you have those set up). That will create a single Note that the selected Contacts will be linked to. Sorry, I don't understand. The Contacts won't be linked together simply because they have a Note that they're all linked to.
So are you wanting to select 5 Contacts and create 5 Notes (1 per Contact), all in one shot? Thanks, Cynthia MacBook Pro OS X 10.5/Daylite 3.7.6 ______________________________________ Daylite Master Partner, Daylite Report Certified www.daylitehelp.com ______________________________________ |

Hmmm. Let's say I have 100 Contacts I want to have the same Note. (Some of these Contacts may share the same Organization.) Later, if I want to look at that Contact, and I click on the Note, I want to know who in the same Organization got that Note. I don't want to see EVERY Contact that got the note. Does that make sense? I don't think there is a way.

In that situation, you'd want to *only* select all of the Org's Contacts, then go Create>New Note for # Objects. You wouldn't want to link all 100 Contacts (if they're from different Orgs) to that single Note.
Take care, Cynthia MacBook Pro OS X 10.5/Daylite 3.7.6 ______________________________________ Daylite Master Partner, Daylite Report Certified www.daylitehelp.com ______________________________________ |
