Every time I attempt a spell check with CTRL+Click, the rainbow starts and I have to force quit the mail. Very annoying, and it never happened before I installed the DMI. Is this a known bug?

I would hate to stop using the Daylite because of this, but it is a big problem for me

I don't have an answer to your problem, but I wanted to say that I just tried it and I can do the spell check as you suggest without any problem - no SBBOD or crashes.

What versions of Daylite and OS X are you running? It's always helpful to mention that.

By any chance do you have some sort of modal dialog box up in Daylite?

If so, Mail waits on Daylite for a response and it will hang. This even prevents moving between messages.

Other than that, I haven't had any crashing problems with DMI and Mail.

The OS X and Daylite version info would be helpful, though.

I have just had this occurring after installing the public Beta. I remember I had this problem previously but cannot remember how I solved it.

So I re-installed V3.76 and same problem occurred
I also manually uninstalled DMI and still had same problem. Only after shutting mac down and restarting did it disappear. Re-installed DMI and all working happily. Now I wonder if I just restarted the computer after installing the Beta if that would have solved the problem .....
