DayLite 3.7.3 running on OS X Server 10.5.2

DB is shared over the LAN to multiple users. A couple of users could not log in. Looked at Daylite on the OS X Server side and saw a couple of names were listed multiple times. Went into OpenBase Manager and stopped the DB. Now in OpenBase Manager all the icon and list under the Action Pull down menu are greyed out except Log and Create new DB.

Just curious how am I supposed to restart the DB?

Hi Schumi,
You restart the database within OpenBase Manager by right-clicking on the database and choosing Start Database. The database is started when the color dot next to it's name is bright green.
If you'd like to manage your Daylite users (you said you saw a couple that were the same user?), you do this in Daylite>Preferences>Users and Teams.

Hope this helps,
Cynthia

Wow. That was easy. Thank you so much Miss Shaffer!

I do not understand why everything was greyed out in the pull down menu but not all interfaces are perfect are they?

Oh good! The likely reason they were greyed out is either that you weren't clicked first on your database before you clicked the pulldown, or the greyed-out functions are ones that aren't available to us with our particular OpenBase license. When we purchase Daylite, we get a license to OpenBase that doesn't give us full access to all of OpenBase's functions. Full licenses of OpenBase are in the $1000s I think.

Talk to you later!
