Since updating to the latest daylight 3.7.3 build 1850, I have had to kill daylight several times and reboot. Very disturbing.

The last time I killed it, I opened OpenBase manager. Start database won't work.

I suggest you send you logs in to Support (Help > Email Log Files) - they can analyze what in those and may be able to determine the cause of the trouble you're encountering.

I agree, seems to be some problems with this version.

We have a similar situation, cannot update with our server and had restore my offline using a back up.

Conflict resolver keeps opening as well.

Our consultant is stumped, hope he and Marketcircle can figure this out soon, as I am sure they will.

When you get the 'beachball', what are you doing in Daylite at that time? Logging in? Running report? Etc... Is it random or when doing specific actions?

How do you use your system - is this a machine that runs with Daylite open all day long, or a laptop which you might put to sleep? Do you log in/out of Daylite often? Etc...

The more information you can provide the better we'll be able to diagnose the issue.

Hi Sebastien,
We have the same problem here with 3.7.2 (1569)
Whenever we go offline to our laptops (iBooks and MacBooks) DL grinds the whole machine to a halt while it does something.
Mail, Safari, Finder, LightSpeed
I don't want to update to 3.7.3 as it includes an OpenBase update which I don't want to have break LightSpeed.
Going online doesn't do the same thing. Just going offline.
Any suggestions appreciated.

If you have this problem leave a note here or let market circle know support@marketcircle.com

I have been receiving emails inquiring about a solution. The answer is no, there is no solution from marketcircle yet.

That may be due to the system specs (especially the iBook). In general going offline will pull the new information from the main database and write it to disk; so if there is a lot of new data it will take some time to write it all out to disk - this can be memory and disk intensive.
