I am a single user connecting to a Daylite database over a network. 2 machines, both running 10.4.10.
My initial dive into 3.5 was pretty smooth. The address book and ical synced without error. I worked for a few weeks without opening ical, the other day I did, and ical sync in Daylite has crashed Daylite consistently since. After the crash I noticed that my dotmac ical sync was disabled on both machines. I do not recall disabling it. I turned it on and found 200+ conflicts that had to be resolved one at a time (resolve similar conflicts did not work). I've resolved all sync conflicts at this point, but when ical sync is enabled in Daylite on either of the two machines I use, CRASH CITY!!! I don't know how to troubleshoot this... Any ideas? Any additional info I should be providing? |

Sort of resolved after reviewing this thread;
http://forums.marketcircle.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/7391090833/m/8701026694/p/1 Ical sync still seems shaky though... This message has been edited. Last edited by: jwolford, |

I was having a number of these syncing problems. Long story. YET... the other day I turned OFF an automatic .mac sync on my computer. All the problems disappeared. I was thinking that my other mac--a love old pismo that is usually on and asleep--had synced up to dot mac and as a result I kept getting conflict messages and issues.
Anyway, thought I'd share the fact that for me, turning off dot mac sync has worked. Pascha MaBook Pro. 10.4.10 Daylite 3.5 (had been 3.5.1 w/two upgrades, utlimately uninstalled EVERYTHING and wiped out my AB and iCal, then reinstalled the original 3.5.) Pismo: one OS earlier. think I'll wipe out that AB.. but not a priority now.

I stopped syncing with .mac altogether. I did realize that my other computer had really old infomation on it, so I did a backup of it and then erased everything on the other mac. Figured that way, "clean" information would sync and I would stop all those conflicts and multiple addresses showing up. However... I confess haven't tried it yet. My only rule is: back everything up before trying so you can restore if it doesn't work.
