I am looking to do an if statement <$if model.extra1$> and see if the extra field has an entry starting with b as in b123456789. Is there a way to do that?

firstletter := mystring substringToIndex:0.
firstletter isEqualToString:'b' ifTrue: [
"YES its a B".
].
