Hi, I find that pipelines can be a great way to get the creative juices flowing on how to tackle a new opp, or project, especially on larger opportunities and projects.

Post your custom pipelines here for others to use either directly, or just as a starting point to get their own ideas flowing on how they will create a new pipeline.

here's one i use for new websites:

Title: New Website
Descrip: Design pipeline for creation of a new website from scratch.

1. Design & Branding
2. Site Layout + Heirarchy
3. Initial Draft/Review
4. Revisions
5. Basic SEO
6. Server Setup
7. Final Draft/Review/Tweak
8. Testing
9. Launch


It would great to have pipelines from all different industries. I am sure many pipelines would apply for more than one industry/opp/project.

good idea. I am in the sale of advertwsing business. The following is a pipline I've created to help me keep track of the major stages of this process.
1.) Initial Contact
2.) On Going Contact
3.) Meeting 1
4.) Follow Up to Meeting
5.) Meeting 2
6.) contract To Prospect
7.) Contractbeing SSent To Us
8.) Contract Redeived w/o $$
9.) SOLD
Ther are smaller stages in between some of these and 6-8 mostly track promised behavior that needs to be roped in. Ideally they go from #1 straight to #9

I am just getting started with a company that makes water conditioning systems. We have really hard water here and they have a system that can condition the water without salt, magnets or chemicals.

Before this starts sounding like an ad, I am able to get the names of business with all the information on that company including the contact/owner info.

I like the idea of the pipeline and being able to track all that I do, I just don't know where to start.

Say I get info on XYZ business with Joe contact/owner. Do I import the information as a contact, an organization or as an opportunity. In my mind it is all three.

I really like the idea of Daylite but I am a little overwhelmed trying to figure out even where to start.

Thanks for any ideas and help that you can throw my way.

Hi Robert

The "chance" to sell the product to someone is an opportunity. That is what has a pipeline; it is the container for tracking the sales process.

You would link the contact AND the company (organization) to the opporutnity. And of course, you would link the contact TO the company. Probably the way to start is to put in the company's details; then add the contact, linking him to the company. Then make a new opportunity with the company and the contact linked. From then on, stick the correspondence and so on related to the opportunity IN the opportunity (link stuff to it).
