Hello,
I must be honest... I don't know a thing about scripting, but I am very interested in this software (Daylite) and want to purchase it for my organization. The only problem that I have is that I need to be able to print reports by Users within a certain Date Range. I do see the report that has already been pre-made for this, but the Header/Data Row/Tables aren't giving me the information that I want from the Tasks Area. Here are the 6 Tables that I would want for the Header/Data Rows: Task Catagory, "Task" Title, "Task" Details, Due Date, Completed Date, & Duration. Is this something that you can help me with or can it even be done? I would greatly appreicate the help!!! Thanks, Blake |

If I'm understanding correctly - there is a report that basically does what you want - just the columns are not the ones you want.
If that is the case, then no scripting is needed. All you do is start with an existing report (that report you mentioned) and in your copy, add/remove columns to you liking. In each column, you specify the data field you want. We have a bunch of report movies that can help with this (see support page). Did you watch the movies? |

Yes I have watched all of the movies and I know how to change data in colomns. I have mastered this and created several reports. But the report that I want to revise the data in is generated by "script" not generated by a catagory in the colomn.
The Report that I want to revise is the "Activity Statistics by a User in a Date Range." The only catch is, I don't want it to be a "Activity Statistics Report." I want it to be a "Task Detail Report by a User in a Date Range." I want to be able to create a report that searches by "Date Range" and "User." Then I want this information to be filtered into a report that has the following columns: Task Catagory, "Task" Title, "Task" Details, Due Date, Completed Date, & Duration. Does that make sense? |

I put up an example one in the share zone. Download it and try it. I made some assumption such I'm looking for completed tasks only and I sort by category then completeDate.
You can look at the Report -> User Input and the Table -> Data for how this is done. HTH |
