I did the install, but there's no PocketMac Conduit listed in the DL prefs. Does anyone here know why that may have happened. I'm sure it won't sync to DL without it.

Doesn't seem like it should need it. There's nothing special I did to iCal or Stickies to get them to work with Pocketmac. We'll see what shakes out in the next few days. I am also watching the boards over at www.blackberryforums.com
look for the Mac User's Corner there.

Hi. Thanks for your response. DL needs the conduit. Take a look at page 31 of the PocketMac for Blackberry manual. The manual is in the .dmg file you downloaded. I've tride uninstalling and reinstalling. It didn't work for me. Mark

Indeed. I never knew that. So the thinking is that Pocketmac is not installing what it should in Daylite. Some sort of breakdown there?
I'll keep digging.

Hi Roccit, The PocketMac installer isn't placing a DL plugin or conduit in the right spot. Another wrinkle I just found out is that PM is only supposed to work with DL version 3.1.3 and up. I'm on 3.1.2 and haven't upgraded yet to the latest DL release candidate. I'll do it later today to see if it helps.

It is supposed to work with 3.1.3 but it only works the first time. During testing we asked them to make a change which they didn't. We are now working on a 3.1.4 beta to 'workaround' their erroneous call.

Sorry...

This is a notice that several of my clients have been talking to one another about a court order to force Pocketmac to backup their claims of DayLite support or otherwise not advertise it on their website. There have also been rumblings about a class action suit against RIM/Pocketmac. It has just been going on for too long.

If anyone else is interested in exploring that direction let me know.

Thanks

Ok - here is the 3.1.4 beta. The only change is the workaround we did.

This dmg is the app only - there is no installer. So make sure you are launching the right version of the app (build 1062)!

Download it here:
http://www.marketcircle.com/downloads/beta-daylite3_1_4b1062.dmg

This link will be active for a couple of days.

Remember folks - this is a beta!
Normally we wouldn't mention a beta in the public forums.

Thanks!

Thanks AJ! I will give it a try. I assume this is only for the core Daylite app and will not need any changes to the DMI module.

Well. It seems to have worked! I will continue to test tomorrow and let everyone know about anything else I find. I have also posted a link to this thread over at blackberryforums.com
thanks again AJ and team for the quick response. Nice to see that someone has their eyes on the prize.

A class action against PocketMac? I've been upset with their crappy software for over a year. I bought it and my blackberry because of their advertised support for DayLite. They strung me out so long with slow responses to emails for support that I couldn't return my BB7290. They have cost me plenty in time and money. Am I angry with them? You bet. Am I angry enough for a class action? No. Good luck with your efforts.

AJ, I upgraded to 3.1.3 and then replaced it with 3.1.4. I uninstalled PocketMac and reinstalled it. I still don't find PocketMac preferences in my DayLite preferences. I tried a sync anyway with DL closed. PocketMac tried to sync and stopped with a warning saying DL should be running. I started DL hoping that PM would connect with it and install a conduit. It did not. It stopped with an error. I still don't have PM prefs in my DL prefs. Do you know what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks,
Mark

Hey Mark--

I have it running even though there is no conduit to speak of. I think that was an old piece of direction. PocketMac are no help so we plow on despite smile Let me know if you would like some help I can let you know what I did.
